Dear Sir / Madam

I am writing to complain about a mobile phone I ordered from Top bile Magazine last month. I returned the phone two weeks ago, 1 and I am still waiting for a replacement. / and you still haven't given me a new one!

When I ordered the phone, I asked for a silver model. Despite this, I was sent a black one. However, I decided to use the phone to see if 2 it functioned correctly / it worked OK. Unfortunately, it didn't.

Your advertisement claimed that the phone could send text messages, but when I tried 3 to use this feature / to send a message to my best friend, it didn't work. In addition, there was no memory, so I was unable to save numbers.

When I 4 contacted / got in touch with customer services, they asked me to return the phone and promised to send a replacement. 5 That was two weeks ago / That was ages ago and I am still waiting for a new phone. Since then I have received a bill for the few calls I made, although the advertisement claimed that the first month would be free.

6 I would appreciate it / It would be great if you could send me either a replacement phone in the correct colour or a full refund as soon as possible. 7 I look forward to receiving your reply. / Please write back soon.

Yours faithfully

Dear Sir / Madam

I am writing to complain about a computer game I ordered from Games World Magazine last month. The game arrived several weeks ago, and since then I have experienced a lot of problems with it.

First of all ... (describe first problem; number of levels). Secondly, your advertisement claimed that ... (sound quality). However, ... (say what the sound quality was really like). In addition, ... (mention third problem: one person can play) and ... (did you get a free game?).

When I phoned customer services, ... (what did they say/do?). That was two weeks ago, and I am still waiting for ... (what?). I am not satisfied with the computer game and ... (what do you want them to do?).

Yours faithfully
